Healthy TigerMissed the weekly update yesterday because I was traveling for work. Let be said my scale says I am back to 250lbs and 30% body fat. I did a serious calculation on my eating out breakfast I love and that meal alone puts me over on my calories for the day so I am casting it out. Since doing the one meal diet I realize I dont need to eat as much as I used to. When I do I feel awful. So that is good. I started taking vitamins this weekend too. An active male vitamin and supplement. I think it is going well and if anything it makes my pee super gold. Like Leprechauns might be hanging out near my toilet as their pot of gold. One step closer to a better today.

fat tigerToday I feel like a fat tiger because the stupid scale said 249 after yesterday it said 243. However I believe the scale is possessed. It also said today I was down to 30% Fat which is great. Well not great but brings my BMI close to not being Obese which is my real goal. I hit not obese 2 years ago around this time and would like to get back to that. I have a feeling I am moving in the right direction regardless of what my weight is telling me. Stupid scale. This one meal a day thing is pretty good. I feel more alert, have more energy and the general roughness earlier in the week has gone away. I do occasionally want to want to hunt down a cow and eat it but I’m sure that will pass too. Another day on the right path.

SamosaI totally had a few samosas for breakfast yesterday and they were glorious. I wish the chilies had been salted but everything cant be perfect. Still cheating a little I was able to keep my calories under. I think what I like about the one meal a day theory is the protein shakes have a locked calorie count. Easy to follow. Bam this many calories. So I drink that and drink it again I know how many calories I have had that day. Then for dinner unless I go to a buffet it is pretty hard for me to blow through the rest of my calories for the day. I also feel full. I have energy. Actually my energy the last few days has been great. No mid day coma.

I suppose this is how those premade diet meals are supposed to work as well. I mean for the calories. You have the locked calorie amount and then you don’t worry but those things taste nasty and I also don’t think they exist in India so all for the best. Plus those meals wouldn’t work like the fasting does which I kind of enjoy.

Did I mention I am drinking a ton of water. I am getting in way more water which is awesome. I love water. Its funny I am a creature of habit and like the same things even though I try new things all the time but once I find something I like I tend to always order it. So this habit lets me drink the same drink every day and I never really get tired of it. I think that’s why a lot of people cant stick with it they don’t like the same thing day in and day out. I really don’t mind.

diI think my scale is crazy or needs new batteries. None the less I will take the weight I weighed in at this morning consistently which is 243. It is encouraging to keep at this then.

Drinking TigerI am guessing from what I read my 1 meal and protein shakes is a form of fasting. I have a shake in the morning, shake at lunch and a meal for dinner, which is decent sized, and then a shake before bed. I am getting mixed reads on milk vs water. The milk does add fat and calories but also tends to tie me over through the day. Supposedly it is either awesome for muscle growth or the worst. It depends on which lifitng broscience you read. Basically I end up with a 300 calorie breakfast with milk and 150 calories with water. Same for lunch. Dinner is in the 400-600 range. Same calories for prebed shake. So like 1300 calories for the day and a ton of water because I drink all the water in the world when I am fasting. I feel pretty good too. Of course today is Samosa day so it is cheat day but still counting calories.

Drinking TigerFirst day of protein shake breakfast, lunch and then a square meal for dinner then a protein shake before bed. I was feeling tired or week. I wasnt feeling hungry. I didnt want to kill anyone. This could probably work. Day 2 begins in the gym. Was glad to be back. Tomorrow I think I will increase weights on all exercises. My muscles arent sore like they used to be when I first started working out. Not sure if that is a good sign or a bad sign.

TigerfiercebabyThis week we are down and up. Weight is down to 247 and BMI is up to 34%. I was feeling sick this weekend so I didnt work out at all and I ate crappy food. Somehow I came out down. I think that it was even though I ate crappy food I didnt eat a lot of it. Anyways new week. Going to do the replacement meals with protein shakes and eat a decent dinner each night. See how that goes. I am guessing I will be grumpy to start the week. Hoping for more sustained progress.

Drinking TigerOk, I cant seem to make gains on weight loss but I am rocking the strength training and improvements. Next week I am going to try something different. I am going to go with a breakfast lunch protein shake diet and balanced veggie and meat dinner. I want to see what results I get. So instead of supplement diet it will be a replacement diet with the protein shakes. It might not be for me but I am willing to give it a shot. MMMM mostly liquid diet.

Crazy tiger dogI spend a lot of time in my head. Most of the time it is pretty good and I am fairly positive. A while back it wasn’t so good. At least these days I see it as its happening but its hard not to let the monkey do its thing and take me down some crazy ass thought directions. Taking it off rails is tough. Sometimes you can enjoy the ride. Right now I am just trying to be the observer and figure out what triggered it and how can I get things back on course. Sometimes I’m just a dog dressed in a tiger costume.

Tiger backWoke up and no back pain. Still did some stretches and yoga before hitting the gym this morning. Moving about like nothing was wrong at all yesterday. I am glad I was smart about it but also glad that since I have been working out my body bounces back a little faster even if I am older. Did my standard weights and exercises this morning. Even went up on a couple.

Tiger backI woke up with serious back pain this morning. Normally I would use it as an excuse not to get up and go to the gym but I didnt let it get in the way. I did some stretches and some yoga instead and then strapped my shoes on and went to the gym. I was super careful with what weight exercises I did and kept the weights lighter with more reps but I was still happy to get in the gym and do my time. Back is still a little wonky but I will just make sure to get in some more yoga time tonight before bed.
